Anything but a Card at Charisma

Good Morning,

It is a sad day as this will be the last challenge at Charisma but watch this space as there will be something exciting coming in its place.
For our last challenge we thought that Anything but a card would be a fitting. I have made a cute little bag using my Cameo, something that i have neglected to use as much as i really should. The image is from All dressed up Stamps & is called Love to shop.

I have coloured them up using Copics & Pro Markers & have distressed the edges using the Tim Holts tool.

All the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts & the bark heart is from Live & Love Crafts

Wedding Anniversary's at Charisma

Good Morning,

Well the weather seems to have forgotten that it is suppose to be summer as I am sat here with my coat on indoors as it's so cold, I just hope it warms up a tad for when i'm on holiday.
Ok so it is challenge time again at Charisma Cards & the theme is Wedding Anniversary's, nice easy one :-)
My card is one that my Dad asked me to make for my Mum as it was their 40th Wedding Anniversary. This is an 8 x 8 card as he wanted something bigger than usual & I was so surprised how easy I managed to fill all the space. More or less everything I used to make this card has come from Live & Love crafts with the exception of the large white rose.

I have coloured Magnolia Vintage Bridal Couple & Magnolia Swedish Vintage background with Pro Markers & have added some glamour dust to her tiara & bouquet.

There is a little tag hiding in the corner with the lovely bow attached.

You can see the sparkle on the roses in her bouquet a bit more in this pic.

I have doodled and sketched all of my life.

I started making greetings cards when my last child was born, and used my doodles on them as I couldn't find what I wanted in the usual craft places.

I only started selling my images in the Autumn of 2009.

I design and hand/mouse-draw all of the images that are sold in the Delicious Doodles Shop. Some are cutsie animals, some are sketched flowers, there are a few men's images, fairies and also some 'darker' images featuring vampires, skulls and Gothic stuff, something for everyone!

I hope everyone is enjoying the lovely weather we are having, I have to say that for me it is a tad too hot!

I have made this little box cart out of Lili of the Valley papers, I watched Dawny P from Lili of the Valley on Create & Craft make these a little while ago & thought they were just fab, thankfully I keep the Create & Craft show on my Sky planner as when I came to make this little cart I had forgotten a few things.

This little box carts are great for putting sweets in & giving as gifts or you could put whatever the person liked in them.

Hi I am Wendy Burns I live in Nottingham UK with my husband and two children who have been the inspiration behind the characters, in particular my daughter who has kept me up-to-date with blogging and trends. I work predominantly within the textile children’s wear market, fashion and interiors.

I trained as a textile designer and although my work is digital based, I love to retain that hand drawn /sewn feel which I hope comes across in my artwork.

Mothers day at Charisma

Good Morning again,

Wow 2 cards from me in one day :-)

It is challenge time again over at Charisma Cardz & it's the turn of Team A to strut our stuff. The theme is Mothers Days & my card is the card that i gave to my Mum for Mothers day this year.
I thought i would use something a little different for me & that is kraft card, i had forgotten how good it looks with the right papers.

I have used Tilda Rose Sent & coloured her with Pro Markers. The papers are of course from Lili of the Valley and it is the Beach Bliss pad & the sentiment is from their Happy Circular Sentiments collection.

April Showers

Good Morning,

Where has the time gone I can't believe its April already & for once the sun is shining but this is the UK so I'm sat patiently awaiting the rain. With that it brings me nicely onto today's challenge at Charisma Cardz & the theme is April Showers. I have used a super cute image from our brilliant sponsor Bugaboo stamps called Deacon rain, I have coloured him up using Pro Markers & i have added some glitter to the rain drops & puddle.

 

The clouds have been cut using my Silhouette Cameo & the bow has been made using an envelope maker (I learnt how to do this at the NEC show)

All of the papers are from Lili of the valley's Father Knows Best paper pad. I love all of their paper pads & have to admit that i am running out of room for them all.

Birthday Girls at Charisma Cardz

 

Good Morning Everyone,

 

It's challenge time again over at Chrisma Cardz & this fortnight the theme is 'Birthday Girls' so super easy. I have made my card using a digi from one of our sponsors The Stamping Chef & she is called Fairy Nuff such a lovely image to colour.

I have  coloured her hair & wings with Copic & her skin & outfit with Pro Markers. I have added some glamour dust to her wings as she's a fairy i thought she should have some sparkle. I've gone for the CAS style with this card as I thought all the focus should be on her.

 

 

 

 I do love how her hair came out :-)

Inspired by a movie at Charisma Cardz

Its challenge day again over at Charisma Cardz, this fortnights challenge theme is 'Inspired by a Movie'. I have been inspired by the movie 'Rock of Ages' I did think this little guy looked a tad like Tom Cruise (without the long hair lol)
I have used Rock star boy from Bugaboo Stamps, the stars are from the Jake Skates set & the 'You Rock' stamp is from the  Max Rocks Set both from Visible Image. I have coloured this fab little image with pro markers.
