Sk8ter Boy

Good Morning,

Well we have had a busy weekend this weekend, we did a craft show on Saturday sadly it decided to rain but luckily the gazebo kept most of the rain off & after a wet start the sun did come out for a while.
My Mum spotted a card I had made but we did sell that one so I made another one for her, not exactly the same as i couldn't quite remember what it looked like but nearly.
The card she wanted has been made using the Jake skates stamp set from Visible Image I think I have used every stamp from this set for this card.

I have coloured up Jake using a mix of Copics & Pro Markers, I have cut him out & layered him onto the card with sticky foam pads.

The Awesome Dude sentiment has been embossed but sadly the picture doesn't really show the effect. I stamped out some of the skateboards, coloured them in cut them out & again layered with sticky foam pads.

I have made this little box cart out of Lili of the Valley papers, I watched Dawny P from Lili of the Valley on Create & Craft make these a little while ago & thought they were just fab, thankfully I keep the Create & Craft show on my Sky planner as when I came to make this little cart I had forgotten a few things.

This little box carts are great for putting sweets in & giving as gifts or you could put whatever the person liked in them.

Playing dress up

Good Afternoon,

The sun is still shinning here which is fab but I do have problems finding things to wear to work as my summer wardrobe isn't very full. I think I'm a winter person at heart.

Well today's card is not my usual colour choose but I thought it was time to find my inner girly girl & go Pink for a change. I have used one of the pre coloured images from Lili of the Valleys James & Jenny Bear pad, these are perfect images to use if you just want to make a quick card.

I have added some purple coloured sparkly glue to the necklace just to add a bit of bling (love a bit of bling lol)

Broom broom

Good Afternoon,

As it was Fathers Day yesterday I thought I would share the card that my Hubby gave to his dad for Fathers Day.
More or less everything has come from Lili of the Valley, the image is from their Vintage Boys art pad the papers are from their Father Knows Best pad and the sentiment is from the Happy circular Sentiments set.

I have added some black & white twine & some ribbon. All the edges have been distressed with a Tim Holtz tool & tea dye distressed ink.

N is for Nautical

Good morning,

It's challenges time again over at The ABC challenge & the theme is N is for Nautical so we would like to see your nautical or ocean themed projects.

I have used the lovely Pearl from Saturated Canary for my card & I have coloured her up using Primsma pencils. This is only the second time I have used these pencils & I love them they are so easy to use & after watching Krista Smith from Saturated Canarys video tutorial I just had to get some & try them out.

The coral reef is from Make it crafty & the flowers are from Wild Orchid crafts.

Summer dreams

Good Morning,

Well the weekend was better than expected weather wise as we had 1 heavy shower & that was it. The rest of the weekend was lovely & sunny but quite windy which you can live with.
I coloured Whimsy Peggy when I was on holiday & thought it was time to put her on a card, she has been coloured with Distressed Markers.
The Papers are from Live & Love Crafts Viola 6x6 & i have used nearly all the papers for this.

 

I have cut out the inside of the oval to make the frame, it did sound like a good idea at the time but ended up be very fiddly.

 

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts & i think I will have to make a few more purple cards as I seem to have an awful lot of purple flowers & not a lot of others oops lol

M is for Monochromatic

It is challenge time over at The ABC Challenge & the theme for this challenge is Monochromatic, she i saw what the theme was i did think 'oh no' what can i do for this as this sort of thing really is not my strong suit. Hopefully you will like what i have come up with as i was very pleased with it.
